At this Art & Musical Festival we have as a project-based learning the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Modern Art Week
Back in 1922, the works presented during this week drew upon European influences and the artists brought a new style of perspectives and expressions to Art . Historically, the Week marked the start of Brazilian Modernism, and in addition to Mário de Andrade, there were other famous names , such as the writer Oswald de Andrade and Manoel Bandeira , the composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, the sculptor Victor Brecheret and the plastic artists Anita Malfatti, Di Cavalcanti , Tarsila do Amaral and Vicente do Rego Monteiro.
This Festival will happen at St John’s following different proposals : exhibition , artistic activity and presentation in the Theatre.
